Somaye Hooshmand | BCSLA, CSLA, BArch, MLA | Landscape Architect
Somaye’s work has focused largely on public parks and urban interventions intended to bring life to public places through design. She is particularly mindful that places are for people, both experientially and functionally, and that well-designed places enhance human wellbeing. She also brings a robust technical background to the space2place studio, where she has been working since 2011.
Somaye has a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Shahid Beheshti (Tehran), as well as a Master of Landscape Architecture from UBC. She was recognized for her overall excellence in small-scale landscape design during her studies at UBC with a BC Society of Landscape Architecture (BCSLA) Robillard Award. She has also won awards for her work on several space2place projects.
